Walter P. St. Louis, Missouri I did not listen to you on three stocks I owned and it cost me a bundle. Please renew my subscription for a year this time.

StocksAtBottom.Com TestimonialsDear Sir,In a Baptist Church when a preachers says something profound and right on, the congregation says "AMEN" I believe your commentary is a double "AMEN". I am a construction worker that cannot pick a good stock to save his soul, so I defer to the experts that know how. I am impressed with the style you present. I am eagerly waiting to see what kind of returns come.
Jim Satterly I just wanted to write and thank you for the great opportunities you provide for me and the rest of your members. It really allows the "little guys" like me to prosper in the "shark infested" waters of the stock market. Sounds like you folks already have wealth but don't mind sharing your wisdom with your subscribers. The humor you inject is great, too!! Thanks to you all!!! Regards,
Jeff Bibblaut I love your philosophy I Iove your knack for finding and highlighting the great stocks out of favor. I love your demonstration that there is profit to be made from the bottom up. Kinda sounds like the American Way.
Jim Vicout
Just wanted to let you know how well I am doing with your subscription. Before I found you 18 months ago, my return was 2.44% for the year. I subscribed to StocksatBottom.com and returned 44.56% for the year. I am currently at 14% for the first quarter. I really don't know a lot about stocks so I just sit back, and let you help me along. Your e-mail alerts, help me decide when to buy, sell or watch. But mostly you have helped me learn to wait. Thanks a million. With you I just might retire by 50!
Douglas Weightingly I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you guys to keep doing whatever it is that you do!!! I've only been with you for a short time now and I have already made GREAT Money in only a few short months! I'm now a LIFER! Take care and keep it coming!
William Jennings Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year. You guys and gals are a class act. The essay you just sent is worth the year's subscription. I'll send it to a few friends and maybe scare up a few subscriptions. Keep up the very good work With best regards,
Tom Fitzgerald Just wanted to say a HUGE Thank You for all you do. A good friend of mine (older and wiser) started to talk to me about investing in stocks and then gave me some of your emails (I have since subscribed!). I am a small time Painting Contractor in rural North Carolina. In the past years, I have never saved much. I opened a few life insurance policies and invested in a Putnam Mutual fund with a national investment company. I was a complete idiot when it came to money and business until I incorporated my business about 4 years ago. I have since started to learn, and save a little until my Putnam mutual fund went down the toilet, and my broker told me nothing. Thanks to my good, older and wiser friend I am now a StocksAtBottom addict. I read all the emails; I study the stocks, and I have a great laugh at your 'sitting around the table' articles and your humorous comments. I have cashed in my life insurance policies and have it in stocks. In 5 months of StocksAtBottom.com led investing I am up 33% on Tyco, 15% on IBM, and 24% on Landry's Restaurants. I have now opened an account for my wife and am spreading the word about StocksAtBottom.com to my friends (they were as ignorant as I was). I appreciate your honesty, your candor and humor and admitting you make mistakes. It is truly refreshing. I am a (young) 37 year old man with 2 children and an expanding business. I have learned more in 6 months with you people than I did my first 36 years on this earth. I came to America 19 years ago as a young Englishman with $300 in my pocket and a head full of Socialist ideals. I now have a good business and a financial plan for the next 15-20 years of my life. You have done what no one else did for me....taught me about money and how to use it wisely on a level I thought was unobtainable for me personally. I've learned much from my own mistakes in my own business...thank you for sharing your screw ups and God Bless You.
Mark Sutters Thank you. I truly enjoyed the summary you wrote. I plan to pass it to my adult children to read, and hopefully they will get as much from it as I did. I am a new subscriber this past quarter and have just been observing your recommendations for a while, and not yet acting on your recommendations as I decide what to do with my investments in my new state of retirement .This "end of year" message made me sure I will stay a subscriber. Good luck in the New Year.
Richard Thomlinson I am a subscriber !!!! I believe the December 24th "Sitting Around The Table" was the best single written piece I have ever seen. Many times I wonder why it took me so long to understand compound interest, even though I knew of it back in the early ' 80's when I was investing in rental properties (which later crashed due to high interest rates). I lost horrendously from ' 81 through ' 83 ... then went through a bitter divorce, then went through a business failure in my Sub S corporation. I could not get any credit for a long time, and nearly gave up. I got into the markets through my company 401k ... but stayed mainly with the fixed funds and S & P funds. I started to rebuild my finances, slowly but surely. Later I got into the NASDAQ funds, running my 401k way up. I let my emotion rule my common sense, then crashed badly, staying with my 401k down to half of it's former high. A fool and his money are soon parted ... I was a fool. Now, at 57 years old, I am on my way back up. This time with a new wife who loves me and is my partner, rather than my enemy. I saw lots of advisory newsletters claiming to "help people get wealthy" ... most of them just milked the customers for more and more $. StocksAtBottom.com has some real-world wisdom that works. I use no margin now ... I pick my entry points very carefully, and keep emotion out of my finances as much as humanly possible... and I resist the urge to sell each time some bad news surfaces. Much thanks to all of you for providing a much-needed service we can trust and put our faith in. Best Wishes to You for a Prosperous New Year.
Richard Vincaro I am a subscriber and I want to thank you. Following your recommendations, I earned 55% this past year. Before I subscribed to your service, I had lost 50% of my portfolio each of the previous three years following the recommendations of other services. I recommended you to my son who also profited this past year. You folks know what you're doing and I hope to leave a good sum of money to my sons and grandchildren
John Catlett Hi. Happy New Year. Congratulations on 4 years of phenomenal performance through the 2nd worst bear market in history.
Steve Fordingham You saved me in a bear market. I would have remained long $2 million in technology stocks. I got out 5% below the top, after your call because I subscribed to your service. My friends instead rode the market down. I only WISH you had a lifetime subscription plan. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
John Hemmings
I have dealt with well-meaning brokers for the past 10 years. Despite their intentions, there have been very few winning years. When I came across StocksAtBottom.com, I was impressed with the no-nonsense approach to making money in the market. The honesty of essentially saying that weeks may go by before opportunity knocks (i.e. a new recommendation) impressed me and I subscribed immediately. Timing is everything and I happened to get lucky with your "best pick" last year when it spiked down (because of hysteria) May 28th. After only 2 days of using your service I have paid for my subscription plus I am now $1700 plus in my trading account. I have never achieved results like this in the past. It is reassuring to know that there is a group of seasoned traders looking for opportunities like you describe. I look forward (finally!) to a rewarding experience in the market. Thank you all, for all of your work, and research. I know you don't reply - so I don't expect one. Just a note to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU GUYS! You explain your position so well and so thoroughly I almost think you are an insider giving secrets. I just have never gone wrong with taking your advice. I am quite heavily (for me) invested with your marvelous stock of the year. I couldn't be happier. The future looks rosy for me, too! Thanks again,
John Beauingard Thank you for your help on the email. Whatever you did it appears to be working. I have received two new messages during the past two days regarding the sell of AOL, and the purchase of Washington Mutual. I look forward to seeing the sitting around the table, and members commentary as they come out. I would like to state, as I eluded to in earlier emails, I have found the information that your group puts out to be useful, educational, humorous, insightful and MOST OF ALL profitable! Yes, we did (do) have a bear market and with the exception of a few stocks where "my ego wouldn't let me do it" I have done quite well with your recommendations. Fortunately, I never had considered trading on margin, and your thoughts on the subject have especially cemented this decision, so I am not losing the farm, just in the red until a few stocks recover. I especially liked The Sports Authority (I bought at $1.78 and sold at $5.35 in less than a year), Legato (almost a double in three months) and Earthlink (the first time at a double, had money elsewhere for the second ride). Just wanted you to know that I am enjoying the service.
Jim Redding Hi Richard, I cannot begin to thank SAB for the Earthlink update via today's "Sitting Around the Table". Man, was I in need of that info! It has been a very perplexing "ride" with Earthlink to say the least since I bought back in for a second try at some big gains following on the heels of my $9,000+ gains on the first buy/sell. Just as a point of reference, with today's closing @ $15.05, my combined Earthlink holdings here show a respectable gain of $5,800. I must confess to feeling a bit "antsy" in that SAB has made so many tempting recommendations recently & I am currently unable to buy into any of them. However, I remind myself daily that I have for the most part done well buying/selling along the lines of SAB's instructions. So when the time comes to sell off Earthlink (and bank the gains), there will be plenty of SAB recommendations left to invest in @ reasonable prices. And I want to also add that with SAB's continued commentary/insights on the War on Terror, I am totally serious in letting you know that I thought today's "Sitting Around the Table" was the best of this feature that SAB has issued!! BRAVO & keep 'em coming, please!! I consider myself a current events "junkie", but totally shun the mainstream media. I read alot on the internet, listen to Rush Limbaugh & Sean Hannity while at work & read "Human Events", a weekly conservative newspaper. I have always found your current events interesting, informative & encouraging. Respectfully yours,
Bob Petersen I am very happy that I receive your insightful information about the stock market and world events. I am very pleased and evaluate your timely insight very carefully. I find your information extremely helpful. Have a great Holiday Season!
Manson Jones Hi Richard! I was just looking over my portfolio and realized how thankful I am that I was a part of the Stocks at Bottom family through this touchy time in America. I have friends that have been crushed while I have done fairly well. Thank you. Two stocks I have a question on. I own cysive at 7.00 dollars and office max at 3.00 dollars. Do you still like these companies? You gave me some great advice on GLW and I sold before the stock collapsed. You saved me thousands. Thanks again! As always, thanks in advance and have a Blessed Holiday season for you and yours! Sincerely,
Bob Gentalli Dear Stockatbottom.com, Thanks for the great advice about Earthlink. I bought the stock at $14 and I have enjoyed the ride up. Just as you predicted a number of other services are initiating coverage and listing the company with a buy rating. Funny how that happens when a stock is moving up. Anyway, thanks for the great information. Your service has proven to be better than the other research tools I have purchased in the past. Keep up the good work.
Ray Jennings Hi Richard, I wanted to drop a note to you & SAB to tell you how well I've been doing with Earthlink!! Before I tell you about my gains, I want to preface it by saying that I had previously made approx $9,600 on the 1st buy/sell with Earthlink. I followed SAB's sell advice & literally got out of Earthlink within about 1-2 business days before SAB fell back to @ $12/share. I had reinvested my gains & had built a diversified portfolio in both my savings & IRA accounts when SAB advised about buying back into Earthlink. It made a lot of sense to me to get back in & in a big way! But should I sell off my portfolio (or most of it) to do it? I spent several days studying my portfolio & re-reading all of SAB's Earthlink reports. I came to the conclusion that my SAB portfolios had become "dormant". I also understood SAB's Earthlink's "lightening strike"gains to be occurring within 30-60 days at most. Lastly, your note that I included below, gave me the final "push" to follow thru & literally sell off most of my portfolios to buy back into Earthlink. I got out of Hercules @$10.75/share, Ford @ $23, SWX @ $21, Boston Scientific, Xerox, GDT & Sprint. I made several purchases of Earthlink in the $13.25-$13.75 range & even came up with an additional $1,500 of savings to make 1 final buy @ $14.20. I am now up approx. $19,400 on the entire investment!! How great is this!! Moreover, by getting out of Ford, Hercules & Xerox, I avoided approx. $3,000-$4,000 in losses that I would have incurred to date by staying with them I truly am on "cloud 9" right now & read with interest SAB's recent "SittingAround the Table" article that featured Earthlink. Although I do not want to "get greedy" regarding my Earthlink gains, my feeling before SAB's article has been reinforced by SAB's article: Continue to hold Earthlink in anticipation of it being taken out (by Microsoft). Richard, with Earthlink currently holding @ $18.60, is it possible that a buyout would have to come at more than the $22-$23/share that SAB previously forecast? And shouldn't a possible buyout be coming before 12/31/01? I couldn't be happier with the decisions that I have made regarding Earthlink to date. And another sincere "THANK YOU" to all at SAB for the insight/guidance you have provided. The gains have been incredible in this my 1st year with SAB & actively investing in the stock market! I am in no hurry to sell out of Earthlink at this time since I believe that even additional gains will be realized shortly. At the same time, I am prepared to move on into Honeywell, Sprint & Hercules should SAB recommend a definitive sell of Earthlink anytime in the near future. Very truly yours,
Bob Pourdrige
Dear StocksAtBottom.com This is just a short note to say thanks. I have only been a subscriber for about 3 months, and am looking forward to making some profits. But the short time I have been a subscriber I have learned so much from your updates and commentaries. I really appreciate your honesty and your thoughts about the economy and the markets. It is amazing to me that someone with your experience and I'm sure financial standing (Big Time Money) would let some of us (Small Players) who have not had that kind of life or financial background in on your knowledge and advice in trying to get ahead. Even if I don't make any money the price of your subscription is still worth the knowledge you are sharing. I can't wait to get to the computer everyday to see if there is anything from StocksAtbottom.com. Thanks again for your kindness.
Kevin Dropford Dear Guys at StocksAtBottom.com I wanted to share with you another great gain that I had thanks to SAB. I had purchased 288 shares of Cendant @ $12.76 when SAB first recommended it (2/23/01). Following SAB's sell recommendation, I sold it last Friday @ $18.96/share. I made an incredible $1,781.02 on this stock or 48.4% on a stock that I held less than 4 months!! Cha-ching!! To date, I have made a total of almost $4,800 on 4 SAB buy/sells & I have only been a subscriber for a couple of months!! I couldn't be happier. Indeed, I took all of the proceeds from this sale & put $3,000 into Office Max ($3.66/share), & $1,200 into Lucent ($7.88/share) & $1,200 into Comdisco ($2.25/share). While I previously had a position with Lucent ($12.50/share) & Comdisco ($13.00/share), I used the opportunity to "average down" as I have learned with SAB. And based on SAB's report yesterday, it looks like I caught Lucent at a "bottom" of $7.88! I couldn't be happier! Getting back to my SAB portfolios ( I have a savings portfolio & a 401k portfolio), I am "printing money" (SAB term) with Earthlink! I'm up over $6,200 on a total investment of $11,000, up over $700 on Xerox (I got in @ $7.50/share), and over $800 on Gartner Group (I got in @ $8.33/share). I have small positions (100-150 shares) with Boston Scientific & Hercules (just waiting to get taken out on this one) and large positions (over 1,000 shares) with Office Max (3 separate purchases, Earthlink (3 separate purchases not over $9.50/share) and Comdisco (again 3 separate purchases dating back to your 1st recommendation. Finally, I also have positions with LSI Logic, Cysive, Ford & Southwest Gas. I couldn't be happier with what I have. I read & re-read & re-read again all of your reports/commentary. In fact, I keep everything you issue in big binders with tabs separating each & every recommendation. I also track each of your recommendations weekly. It helps to know how each recommendation is moving over the course of time. When I sell a position (and get ready to make other moves), I find it very helpful to re-visit each of your reports/follow-ups so that I can buy what I think is the best opportunity at that particular point in time. I've already sung your praises to you on numerous occasions. Now, I am happy to present yet again, hard tangible gains that you all are responsible for. I couldn't do this without you. Don't ever stop your wonderful efforts. And I especially love your "Sitting Around the Table" commentaries. Boy, I wish they were daily features!! I look forward to each & every one of your reports/commentaries!! You are all the very best!! Very truly yours,
Bob Patropolous I have been a subscriber since February a year ago, I can honestly say that the $350 subscription fee is the BEST MONEY I've ever invested. I am currently up 29.8% on my 8 stocks from the table. My top three - CDO, CS and ELNK are up 87, 61 and 50 per cent respectively. I have actively referred your services to my friends and colleagues. Your reports are written in plain English so anyone can understand why SAB is recommending a stock. My first sale was CD in February at $13.01 and I sold it when you emailed me at $19.11 so I made a 45% return in 3 months. Please feel free to use my testimonial on your site. One Happy Investor
Henry Monihan Once again I would like to thank you for your support. Thank YOU for your continued efforts and help because I seem to be having success so far and that is very valuable.
Nancy Richmond Okay SAB. To date you have been everything you advertised. I am very pleased with your service and your approach. Cheers
Jim Garland I would love to be able to buy each and every one of the stocks you recommend! However I am not a millionaire yet. I only have about $35,000 in stocksatbottom picks. I figured I have to buy the cheapest per share stocks to hold the most shares possible in order to make some substantial gains. I wonder why everyone wouldn't do the same? After all we all should believe that you recommend these stocks because you think that they are all going to go up! Also, I would love to be able to buy shares in a StocksAtBottom "mutual fund" comprised of all of your picks in whatever quantities you hold. Is that possible?
Paul Catalano I have been a member for six months or so, and I am writing to say, "thank you." I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your reports and your essays. Beyond being intellectually stimulating, personable and enjoyable, you have guided me to opportunities that have more than doubled the value of my portfolio ALREADY. I tested the waters with Lucent and WCOM, and made a much bigger play with Legato - which I closed this week (for 70%) to buy CDO. I also took your advice on BSX... I am not writing to chronicle in detail my personal portfolio, but I want you to know that I am a very active customer and an extremely happy one...and a very APPRECIATIVE one. I am 28 years old, married, with a 20-month-old daughter and a boy on the way any minute. I am a pastor by profession, so I will never look to my salary for any sense of financial productivity - and I don't want to. Instead, I look forward to the day when the continued 24-hour work of my assets will dwarf my salary and make it altogether unnecessary... With your continued help, that day is fast approaching. Of course I appreciate the specific leads you provide, but I also want to thank you for raising my eyes to see beyond the 20%/year groove that has been well-worn into my investment thinking. I know you can't win 'em all, but if you are fixing your eyes on 50% in a few months or less, you can afford to lose more than a few. I graduated from William and Mary, but received no practical training in investments. I am eager to continue learning, but realize that I can't be a pro at everything. You men and women have not only freed me (as long as you're in business) from hours a week in research, you have made my 1 hour a week literally hundreds of times more fruitful. Keep up the good work. This sounds weird coming from a subscriber, but you're worth a heck of a lot more than $350/year... I cringe at the potential implications of that encouragement, but simultaneously concede that the workman is worthy of his wage... Thank you again. I appreciate you very much. Please thank your families, on my behalf, for releasing you to do what you are doing. Best Personal Regards,
Ralph Medina Thank you for the service you provide. My family and I are very grateful, and I look forward to being a customer for as long as you keep the "doors" open.
Keith Baxter Thanks for the encouragement; I made a nice amount of cash on WIN & HRC with you guys, and am very happy with the moves upward of TOM (bought under 9) and TSG (bought at $27.50). I was just getting a little nervous as I am into XRX (averaged down to right at $10) for around $20,000. I know that's peanuts to you guys, but it's about 40% of my portfolio right now. I can't believe how lucky I was to find you guys - I know I am on the right track, sound advice, great logic - thanks & keep it up!
Hillary Hoyt I have been with you for just a couple of months now, but must tell you that if you wanted 10 times what you are asking for a subscription...you'd be worth every penny...and then some! I cannot even begin to tell you how happy I am that I am with you. You're straight shooters...something that seems sorely missing in today's roller-coaster environment. You tell it like it is. Thank you. I follow your recommendations and yes, I sleep at night. I feel like you honestly and truly care about your readers. It comes through loud and clear - and I'm grateful. I look forward to each and every email I receive from you! You're the best! From a very grateful and happy subscriber...see you at the bottom!!
Rick Torigan Just a quick note - use this as a testimonial if you like - yesterday, on such a down day as I checked my positions in the twenty or so stocks that I hold, I had to smile to see that the only "up" stocks were the "stocksatbottom"!!! bsx, rsg, and tsa. Owning these stocks is like having a built in hedge with tremendous upside potential. This isn't the first time the S-A-B's have all been green! You guys are right on target. Today I bought "tom" at about 71/2.... that looks like it can only go up...already up to 8. keep it up.
John Ranmiss Thank you for saying "get off the margin" over and over. I did get off it, 100%, about two weeks ago, just before this correction/crash, etc. You da man! I have a couple buddies who were wiped out in a matter of days--hundreds of thousands of dollars gone, and they are wondering what hit them.
Matt Didlon Thanks for the chat..... like I told you on the phone... you pretty much look for the same "stuff" in a stock pick that we do... and I know how hard it is to call an exact bottom. But... since I have been checking your site... you've done pretty good. Take care.
Bill Taggot, I would like to renew my membership for an additional 3 months. Your advice has already made me thousands of dollars. I appreciate the care and communication you have with your subscribers.
Mark Edwards Thanks. You guys are great stock pickers!
John Calleg I just wanted to write and say that I am glad that I signed up with you guys. John Sciendorf Bonnieville, Kentucky Your train of thought, logic, and the articles at your site are a refreshing change from most of the other BS, I have found in news letters, analysts articles, Investment sites, etc. Also, your informative EM's are appreciated. Keep it up.
